Meet Bree Burris, APRN
I have always loved the caring aspect of nursing and having a connection with each of my patients. I love sharing decision-making with patients, empowering their choices in their own healthcare, and making goals together.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin until moving to Florida with my parents and three sisters 25 years ago. I received my associates in nursing degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2010 where I fell in love with the nursing profession. Following graduation, I worked in a variety of nursing settings specializing in Emergency medicine, Pediatrics, ICU, and trauma. Working as a travel nurse, I came back to Florida on assignment where I ended up meeting my husband, Ryan. Soon after we got married, he went back to school to become a nurse practitioner so we decided together that I would take a local permanent nursing position. The following year we welcomed our sweet daughter. In 2019, I decided to go back to school myself for my master’s degree in nursing specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In my free time, I love to travel with my family. We stay busy on weekends at the zoo, playgrounds, theme parks, local festivals, and camping. I also started running and am working towards a half marathon. My husband and I are also self-proclaimed foodies and love to try new restaurants whenever we can.
