Skin Biopsies

Skin biopsies serve as a vital diagnostic tool in understanding various skin conditions and diseases. By extracting a small sample of skin tissue and sending it to the laboratory for examination, we are able to determine the presence of infections, assess the presence and degree of inflammation, and differentiate between benign (non- cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) lesions.

Mole and Skin Tag Removal

Mole and skin tag removal procedures are commonly performed to address cosmetic concerns or alleviate discomfort caused by these skin growths. Mole removal may be necessary if a mole shows signs of potential malignancy, such as changes in size, shape, color, or irregular borders. Skin tags, on the other hand, are harmless but can be bothersome if they rub against clothing or jewelry. Both procedures are typically simple and minimally invasive. Mole removal typically involve techniques such as excision or shaving depending on the characteristics of the mole. Skin tag removal often involves methods like cryotherapy (freezing) or snipping with sterile scissors.
